Secure video messaging · live
A meeting nobody in the middle can sit in on.
Up to five people, on hardware we own. The video is sealed between the browsers in the call. The machine that carries it holds no key — so it cannot watch, and it cannot record.
That is not a promise we are asking you to take on trust. It is an ability we removed. There is no account to make and nothing is kept after you hang up.
Start a meeting →Opens meet.tankslab.com — the app runs on its own machine, deliberately outside this website's path, so no third party ever terminates a call's encryption.
The difference
What the big platforms do that we don't
None of this is an accusation — it is how Zoom, Teams and the rest are built, and mostly they say so themselves. It is worth knowing what you agree to when you click join.
| The big platforms | Booth | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can watch | The meeting is decrypted on their servers. It has to be — that is how a platform mixes video, records it and streams it out. | ✓Nobody. Keys are agreed between the browsers; our relay never takes part, so it forwards sealed frames it has no way to open. |
| Recording | Any host can record, and on most platforms it lands on the company's servers. | ✕Not built. No code for it, no server holding a key that could. Nobody can switch it on later — us included. |
| After the meeting | Attendance, timestamps, chat logs, and increasingly an AI transcript by default. | ✕Nothing kept. The room is deleted when the last person leaves. Nothing to hand over, because nothing exists. |
| Accounts | Email, password, profile, often a phone number. | ✕None. A first name, so the others know who joined. |
| Who met whom | Even without watching, the platform knows who was in a room together and for how long. Often that is the valuable part. | ✓Not recorded. The server sees connections while a call runs and writes none of it down. |
| Your address | Visible to the platform, and on some peer-to-peer calls to the other participants. | ✓Hidden from everyone. All video goes via the relay, so no one on the call learns anyone's IP. |
| Selling your data | They promise not to. A promise lasts as long as the company — through a buyout, a breach, or a court order. | ✓Nothing to sell. We removed the ability instead of making the promise. |
The trade
And what we don't do
The trade is real. If any of this is what you need, use something else — we would rather say so now than have you find out mid-meeting.
- Five people maximum. Every person's video goes to every other person — that is what keeps a server out of the middle, and it is also why the number is small. Past three the picture softens automatically so the weakest connection in the room isn't the one everybody watches freeze.
- No recording. Not a setting we turned off. It does not exist.
- No webinars and no breakout rooms.
- No calendar integration. You send a link.
- No dial-in, but there is a waiting room. Anyone you have not let in yet waits there, with hold music they can mute.
- No phone dial-in. A browser, on any device.
